Let’s build a stronger defense - together.

Some investigations begin with financial discrepancies. Others start with suspicious behavior. But every so often, a case begins with something far more personal — a parent simply trying to protect their child.
This is one of those cases.
It began with a father following a court‑ordered parenting plan. It ended with a conspiracy to kill him.
John was scheduled to pick up his five‑year‑old son from school on Friday, just as he had done countless times before. But when he arrived, he found Jane — his ex — and her father already there, Taking the child and announcing they had “other plans for the weekend.”
This wasn’t the first time she had violated the parenting plan. When John reminded her of the court order, she dismissed him coldly: “I am his mother, plans change and if you don’t like it too bad.”
Rather than escalate the situation in front of his son, John walked away. After speaking with his attorney, he made a decision that would ultimately save his life:
He hired a private investigator.
Once retained, we conducted background checks and began surveillance on Jane and her daily activities. Early findings were troubling.
We learned that Jane’s father was allegedly using stolen equipment for his tow‑truck business, and her cousin was a convicted felon and gang member.
Even more concerning, Jane was leaving the child with her parents at night while she went out to bars and socialized with friends. One Saturday night, she visited a bar known for its motorcycle crowd.
She was introduced to several individuals by her cousin. They spoke quietly, shook hands, and left together. A few days later, Jane was seen withdrawing cash from the bank and handing an envelope to one of those same individuals in the bar parking lot.
Something was happening — and it wasn’t about custody anymore.
We continued documenting every child transfer Jane allowed — and every one she denied. Regular reports were sent to John’s attorney.
Then, three weeks later, undercover officers from the gang unit arrived at our office. They asked about our surveillance and our observations of Jane and her associates. That’s when we learned the truth:
Police had uncovered a plot to kill John.
The plan was to carry out the murder after the next Friday child transfer, near the school.
Wiretap evidence revealed Jane had paid $10,000 to have John killed. Bank records confirmed the payment.
That Friday, we accompanied John to the school. Police executed simultaneous arrests:
The murder attempt was stopped before it could happen.
At trial, the evidence was overwhelming. Jane showed no remorse. She was convicted and sentenced to prison.
John survived — because he trusted his instincts, listened to his attorney, and hired an investigator before it was too late.
Not every case involves violence. But every case involves truth - and the truth matters.
If you’re facing custody issues, threats, harassment, or suspicious behavior, don’t wait until things escalate.
